TRILITY is seeking an enthusiastic Operations Support Engineer to join the Water Quality Team based in Melbourne.
The Role
The role will see you provide operations and technical support to our Operations team in Australia and New Zealand in relation to invoice production water quality data management, analysis and reporting, plant commissioning and troubleshooting, systems support and coordination of minor projects.
Key responsibilities
- Support water, wastewater, recycled water and biosolids operations
- Assist with developing, reviewing and implementing water quality and operations documentation
- Carry out investigations related to the process and operational performance of water treatment plants and other treatment facilities
- Assist with various small- to medium- scale projects
- Assist with plant operations, hands on maintenance tasks, inspections, calibrations, and asset replacement tasks
- Support the Water Quality team with internal drinking water audits, optimisation initiatives and process improvement projects
- Continuous review and improvement of our operation and management systems
- Water quality data management and analysis
- Provide technical assistance in the response to water quality related incidents
- Other reasonable duties as directed
What we are looking for
- 2-5 years’ experience of water and wastewater technologies and processes
- Degree level professional engineering or scientist qualifications or equivalent
- Process/Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering or Scientist Qualifications
- Ability to understand and interprets scientific data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to learn and take guidance and direction from supervising staff
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record and willingness to travel and conduct field work
- Knowledge of wastewater and recycled water treatment operations and relevant legislation, policies, ADWG, AGWR and wastewater licences would be highly regarded
