The Opportunity

The Operations Team Leader (OTL) will oversee the packaging team and equipment, ensuring daily prioritisation of shift activities. They will oversee all shift’s, ensuring safety and quality is always a priority as well as labour is utilised effectively, and all site targets are met.

The Accountabilities

• Accurately monitor & encourage behaviour that recognises the importance of safety, quality & excellence in all aspects of work and drives continuous improvement culture
• Ensure the creation of an effective production plan, ensuring effective use of resource and materials
• Improve product capacity and quality by ensuring equipment is maintained to current GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards and improvement opportunities are identified.
• Manage the packaging labour and expenditure to budget
• Establish and maintain a daily meeting for all packaging members, ensuring it covers Safety, Quality and Delivery metrics             

The Ingredients for Success

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;

• Commitment to a full-time role Monday-Friday, with the ability to be flexible based on the needs of the company
• Team Leadership experience essential- minimum 2 years
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment desirable 
• An understanding of team, safety, and quality operating principles
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work as part of a team
