Operator Maintainers

Operator Maintainer with tickets required for our team at Karara mine site, - 8/6, 7/7 Rotating Roster - FIFO from Perth.

The role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, as well as assisting with maintenance of the conveyor system, operating the control room and housekeeping of equipment.
Key responsibilities:

• Operation of a variety fixed plant machinery to meet production requirements.
• Assisting tradespersons with maintenance of a variety of fixed plant machinery (conveyors/stacking facility).
• Operation of the Tailings Conveying System from the local control room
• Demonstrated commitment to our goal of Zero Harm (for our people and our equipment).
• Commitment to all site safety standards and requirements.
• Completion of pre-starts, care & maintenance of mobile plant.

Some of the equipment you will be working with:

• Loaders - CAT 980, 988, 992
• Water Cart – CAT 740
• Grader – CAT 14H
• Dozer - CAT D6 / D9
• Dump Trucks - CAT 777 /Komatsu 785
• Skid Steers (CAT 259D)
• Various LV’s including Hilux, Landcruisers and Prados

The successful applicant will possess the following:

• Previous work history and experience operating machinery within production mining environments.
• Previous work history, skills and experience with performing basic maintenance tasks and housekeeping on fixed plant machinery.
• Current RII for the following is essential:
• Rigid Haul truck,
• Articulated Haul Truck
• Water Cart
• Skid Steer
• Nice to have:
• Front End Loader
• Dozer
• Grader

(Candidates with previous control room experience, current Working at Heights, EWP, and Confined Space tickets will be highly regarded)
Applicants will also be required to undertake a pre-employment medical functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening.
