Your new company is an Australian owned Steel Manufacturer based in the Gold Coast, they are looking for an experienced Operator/Welder to join the team.
About the Role:
In your new role, you will construct pile cages, footing cages and pad footings. At a minimum you will operate the auto cage pile machines, MIG welder, 5 inch angle grinder, overhead crane and jigs. The position operates Monday-Friday, day shift.
Duties:
Building cages in line with specifications provided
Maintain and operate all cage machines, cranes and welding equipment/pre start checks
Interpret drawings
Tags attached and scanned as required
Checking measurement
Ensure correct PPE is worn
General housekeeping of work area
Reporting faults
Checking on loads to ensure safe travel / checking bundles are secured correctly
Skills & Experience:
6 months Basic welding experience
Able to read and interpret basic drawings
Welding or fitter trade certificate (desirable)
12 months experience working in steel reinforcing industry
Forklift licence (desirable)
