About the Role
Based in our Houston office, The Opportunity Development Manager will lead the establishment of high complexity, low carbon and energy projects in the US region.
Key responsibilities include:
Identifying, screening and developing new energy opportunities in the Americas with specific focus on Hydrogen and Ammonia.
Represent Woodside in external engagements with partners, suppliers, customer and government agencies
Responsible for managing external contractors and engineering consultants
Drive technical innovation and integrated energy solutions
Responsible for applying safety critical processes and verification in-line with the process safety management procedure
Coach others to upskill their knowledge and technical competencies
Co-ordination of internal functional input including projects, customer development, commercial, carbon capture and sequestration team, development planning, marketing and power & renewables.
Develop investment rationale for proposed investments
Skills & Experience
The successful applicant for this role will also have:
Engineering degree
15+ yrs experience in one or more of the following areas (desirable): Gas reforming, ammonia synthesis, hydrogen liquefaction and/or petrochemical experience
Projects and/or operating experience
Engineering leadership positions
Project management experience desirable
Ability to work collaboratively, build trustful relationships and communicate effectively across multiple levels
Experience developing and negotiating commercial agreements, or supporting the same
