Specsavers Nuriootpa in the beautiful Barossa Valley region, South Australia is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Optical Assistant. Our work environment is varied, with each day bringing something different, so we will value those who can adapt quickly.
Optical Assistant experience is a major bonus however if you have a passion for going above and beyond you will be highly considered. We pride ourselves on providing a caring and premium service, so we will expect you to have a positive and engaging customer service history. This exciting role will see you become a vital part of our store team and you will be involved in the customer journey from meeting and greeting, to using the latest pre-testing equipment through to styling and dispensing lenses specific to customers needs and lifestyle. You will be a good problem solver and enjoy working in a busy retail environment.
Our supportive team are highly motivated and work well together. We will provide on the job training and e-Learning. Our store is open 6 days so some weekend and late night availability is required.

Skills and experience:
The successful candidate will have a rewarding career with Specsavers and will possess the following skills and experience:
- Optical dispensing qualification experience will be highly desired, but not essential.
- Previous experience in the optical industry or in a fast paced retail industry
- A self-starter with a sense of humour who enjoys variety and a busy environment
- Excellent verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail
- The ability to build genuine and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers
