Northvale Dental is expanding and has big goals to achieve in 2024. We are looking for an experienced Oral Health Therapist who understands the importance of building lifelong relationships with patients built on trust, confidence, quality of work and exceptional patient care. We have a strong and dedicated team that is excited about introducing a hygiene/therapist program to our young practice and helping them take advantage of all the opportunities available at our practice. Together with our Principal, Dr Safinah, the Northvale team is committed to supporting them in realising their full clinical potential. Qualifications & experience
Bachelor’s degree in Oral Health (or equivalent) that is recognised by the Dental Board of Australia
Registration with the Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Valid Victorian radiation use licence
Minimum 2 years clinical private practice experience in Australia
Experience with Exact Dental Software favourable
Tasks & responsibilities
Able to examine and record the nature and severity of periodontal conditions, and clean, scale and root-plane teeth for all aged groups, including taking a health history and dental charting
Provide dental care for children and adolescents including examining oral and dental conditions, restore and conserve permanent and deciduous teeth, perform extractions of deciduous teeth. With adult scope, would be able to provide care to adults under certain circumstances
Work in partnership with the dentists in diagnosis and treatment planning of patients to maintain or restore Oral Health
Administer and interpret dental radiographs
Able to communicate and education patients on oral hygiene and good diet habits
Supervisory responsibilities to dental assistants
