• Full-time role with Smile Squad, coaching, and mentoring BoH students and existing OHTs 
• Salary: Up to $88,750 (DT55 Level 3) + 11% super + salary packaging

Join our supportive team committed to enhancing the Oral Health of public-school students. We're looking for an experienced Oral Health Therapist or Dental Therapist to join our dynamic team of Lead Regional OHTs and DAs, playing a vital role in the success of Smile Squad, our free school dental program. 

Reporting directly to the DHSV Smile squad regional coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in leading and mentoring Smile Squad OHTs, alongside supervising Bachelor of Health Students during their placements.

Some duties to expect: 

• Collaborate with Dental Agencies in your region to enhance the efficiency of their Oral Health Therapist teams 
• Mentor and provide support to existing OHTs and OHT students as they deliver dental care to school students 
• Identify and address knowledge gaps within the OHT workforce through targeted professional development initiatives 
• Travel to various agencies during work hours, utilising the Smile Squad vehicle for transportation 
• Maintain up-to-date clinical skills by occasionally participating in chairside duties 

A bit about you: 

• Experience in teaching, student supervision and mentoring – highly regarded 
• AHPRA Registered Oral Health Therapist/Dental Therapist/Dentist 
• Holds a Victorian driver’s license and Working With Children Check 
• Clinically adept in evidence-based practice, particularly with children 
• Demonstrates outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
• Experienced dentist open to contributing to public Oral Health or seeking a change of environment
