About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent PT experienced Orthopaedic Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse with demonstrated leadership capability to advance their career to the next level.  The successful applicant will work with the Orthopaedic Surgeons, Nurse Unit Manager and Patient Coordinator to establish a new innovative service providing a streamlined patient journey from preadmission through to discharge in a newly established facility. While acting as a role model and mentor for all staff.

• Leading the team to deliver timely, safe, evidence-based patient-centred clinical care to achieve optimal clinical outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.
• Supporting the NUM to build and maintain a high performing team that operate within a performance framework; to drive a culture of accountability, best practice, and innovation. 
• Building strong and trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholder to promote and maintain the reputation of the unit.
• Supporting the NUM with the maintenance of a safe clinical and operating environments to optimise safety and wellbeing of patients, visitors and staff

About you:

You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

• Solid experience in a comparative role within Orthopaedics SCRUB/SCOUT. Setting up a new specialty with clinical knowledge in joint replacement including robotics (ROSA/Versyl), shoulder, foot, and ankle.  
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication and computer skills. 
• A true commitment to delivering high quality patient care.
• Post graduate qualifications desirable but not essential. 
• Be a motivated individual who enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced team environment.
• Have a current and unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Have a current Police Check
• Up to date with mandatory Immunisations and Vaccinations.
