Role Overview:
Specializing in shoe fitting, you will play a pivotal role in our shoe store by providing exceptional customer service and expertise in finding the perfect fit for our customers' footwear needs. You will guide customers through the fitting process, ensuring their comfort, satisfaction, and confidence in their shoe selection. Your knowledge of shoe anatomy, foot measurements, and fitting techniques will be essential in delivering personalized service and building lasting customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, understanding their footwear preferences, and guiding them through the fitting process.
- Foot Measurements: Conduct thorough foot measurements and assessments to determine the appropriate shoe size and width for each customer.
- Product Recommendations: Utilize knowledge of shoe anatomy and features to recommend styles that best suit customers' needs, including comfort, support, and style preferences.
- Fitting Assistance: Assist customers in trying on various shoe styles and sizes, ensuring proper fit and comfort.
- Foot Care Education: Educate customers on proper foot care, including the importance of wearing correctly fitted shoes and maintaining foot health.
- Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit card payments, and exchanges.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized fitting area, including arranging merchandise displays and restocking inventory as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and provide support during peak periods.
- Policy Adherence: Uphold store policies and procedures regarding returns, exchanges, and customer interactions.
- Training Participation: Actively participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Client Sensitivity: Must be able to deal with elderly and disabled customers with care, understanding, and respect.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably in the footwear industry.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers and build rapport.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of foot anatomy, shoe sizing, and fitting techniques.
- Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion: Passion for footwear and a genuine desire to help customers find the perfect fit.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in shoe fitting is a plus.
- Additional Skills: Some computer skills and a medical background would be an advantage.
