About the Role:
We are seeking Part-Time Assistant Educators who are committed to enriching young people through experiences, learning and support. You are someone who excels in working in a collaborative environment, you enjoy utilizing craft skills and playing sports with the children, and you thrive in an organisation that celebrates achievements and encourages you to succeed.
OSHC Assistant Educators offer a fun and dynamic space as part of their services. You will be supervising primary school-aged children and participating in interactive programs to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all children, families and Y People.
This role requires:
· A genuine passion for working with children and families
· An energetic, enthusiastic and motivated person who wants to be part of our dynamic team
· Knowledge of the National Education and Care Law and Regulations
· Knowledge of My Time Our Place Framework, National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning framework
· Facilitate a diverse learning experience in an inclusive environment for all children, families and Y people
· Provide excellence in daily leadership and management
· Implement best practice to ensure health, safety and wellbeing in the work environment
· Maintain a child safe culture, and implement our high standard of Safeguarding practices
What you need:
· Experience working with or volunteering in an environment that is focused on children and/or young people
· A Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Community Services or equivalent (Highly regarded, however NOT mandatory)
· Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place (Desirable)
· Current WWVP Check (ACT) and/or WWCC (NSW) (or willingness to obtain)
Please note, for this position, you must be available to commit to a minimum of 3 afternoons a week from 2:30pm – 6:00pm.
