A new service based in Dandenong North is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 38.5 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance! 

Hours are as follows: Monday – Friday, 06:30 – 09:00 AM (Rise then Shine Program) and 02:45 – 06:00 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus 2.5 hours setup time plus 4 additional admin hours.

In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $500 commencement bonus at the completion of first month plus another $500 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.

About the role 

Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

    • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
    • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents 
    • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the service 

Based in Dandenong North, this new service would see you embedded in a diverse and vibrant school environment. They have a large space with an indoor gym and a dedicated office for admin. You would also benefit from the close relationship they have with a neighboring school, and staff who move between the two services. 

Who are we looking for? 

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:

    • An understanding of the education and/or childcare sectors
    • Cear communication skills 
    • Team player with a desire to become a service leader 
    • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children 
    • Australian work rights 
    • Holds or is working towards a Diploma level or higher qualification in an ACECQA approved area (see the ACECQA website for more information)
