Our Lady Help of Christians OSHClub is looking for a passionate and motivated Coordinator to provide engaging services for children in our before and after-school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time opportunity, leading a team of Educators at a medium sized (50 licence capacity) service in Eltham.
Hours are as follows: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 09:00 AM (Rise then Shine Program) and 02:45 – 6:00 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus additional admin hours.
The middle of your day is free, and you can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too!
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration.

About the school
Our Lady Help of Christians OSHClub is an existing medium sized service with an average of around 10-20 c hildren each in their before and after school care capacity. This service is known for its wonderful school and community connections and as such enjoys the use of a large, shared space that they are free to decorate and set up as they please during sessions. There is also a generous kitchen attached to the room that can be host to a plethora of cooking activities. Outside, the room is attached to a small undercover area that students enjoy when wanting fresh air or some quiet time. Additionally, the service has access to several outdoor spaces including playgrounds and basketball courts. The children in this service are very familiar, with the school and routine and are always keen to engage in planned activities.

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
Enjoy working with kids
Strong and clear communication
Team player with a desire to become a service leader
Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
