Job description

So, you're a warm and positive communicator and you're ready to extend your leadership and planning skills? Are you looking for a supportive team who will provide mentorship, training opportunities and trust you to build you own service?

Even if you don't have OSHC experience, this could be the role for you!

Our team based in Melton is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 32.75 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance!

Hours will be Monday –Friday, 06:50 – 09:00 AM (Rise then Shine Program) and 02:45 – 06:30 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus 3 additional admin hours. There will also be room for holiday program shifts at a neighboring school in Melton.

About the role

Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About us

Partnering with parents and school communities, our goal is to build brighter futures by supporting children’s development through play in fun, engaging environments. We live and breathe our company values every day by being considerate, passionate, and courageous, and making a difference.

About the service

Embed yourself in this caring community as you build lasting relationships with the school and families. Based in Melton,  this service already has a strong attendance of roughly 30 kids after school, which you would be able to further grow. You would be based out of a classroom overlooking the playground and basketball courts, meaning there is plenty of opportunity to create both indoor and outdoor activities for the kids to enjoy. You'll be working alongside an existing Educator with strong knowledge of the service.

Who are we looking for?

A few basics you need to have:

  • Positivity, warmth and care
  • Ability to program for a large range of ages
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
  • Australian work  rights
  • Currently studying an ACECQA approved Diploma such as those based in education, health or the community (visit the ACECQA website for more information)

  • OR willing to undertake a traineeship with us

What's in it for you?

  • Lucrative Employee Referral Program – earn up to $750 for an employee referral via Care Friends
  • Discounted Health Insurance – get a discount off your premium with Bupa
  • Discounted Fitness and Wellbeing – discounted gym membership at over 400 Gyms/Studios, up to 50% off fitness & wellbeing benefits     through Wherefit
  • Exclusive discounts for your family to attend our services, plus 1000's of savings on various lifestyle choices
  • Recognition, awards, career growth
