Our Place is seeking additional Educators to work at our Rockingham Montessori OSHC, situated at the Rockingham Montessori School, in Rockingham.
We are seeking one OSHC Co-ordinator, qualified supervisors/room leaders, as well as unqualified support staff (actual staff needed will be dependent on the availability of successful applicants and how this complements the availability of existing staff). You can opt for a part-time position or full-time hours, with additional cover shifts available at our main site, if you are interested. Payrates are dependent on your qualifications, experience and the basis of your employment. Hours are flexible, min 15, max 38 hours per week, depending on your availability.
As an OSHC Co-ordinator you should hold a minimum Cert III, with Cert IV and Diploma qualified Educators having an advantage. Training can be provided where needed, with most aspects handled by the head office, the floor and the children will be the Co-ordinators focus.
Supervisors require a minimum Cert III, with Cert IV and Diploma qualified Educators again having the advantage. A minimum of one years experience in the field is required to start as a supervisor, but we will support and train you up, if you have less.
Supporting staff do not require an OSHC qualification. In relation to Supporting Staff, we will be looking favourably at University/TAFE students from related/interesting fields. For example, Bachelor of Education fields, Psychology & Social Work, Community Services, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Science and Technology fields or Nursing. We will work around your Uni schedule and internship/placement dates, as well as offering Cert III pay rates to support staff upon completion of their first semester at University/TAFE (minimum four completed units). You do not need to be passionate about Education & Care services or seeking a long term carer with us, but rather passionate about sharing what you are learning with fellow Educators and the Children, whilst supporting the provision of high quality care, for the period of time you are with us.
Supporting staff seeking a traineeship, must be willing to work across both sites, on at least a part-time basis, and have successfully completed year 10 or a Cert II in General Education for adults. No experience is necessary, but completion of a one week paid trial is compulsory. To undertake a traineeship, you must demonstrate a love for working with children and be passionate about the Education & Care sector, either seeking a long term carer or an alternative pathway to a Bachelor of Education at University.
All applicants must have or be eligible to apply for a Working with Children Check and a National Police Clearance (that is less than six months old).
The Co-ordinator & supervisors will need a drivers licence, held for a minimum of 12 months and be willing to drive the centre vans.
Applicants should include a one page cover letter, with their up to date resume, detailing why they are suitable for the role they wish to apply for.
Please submit via the Seek Portal only.
