We're seeking a dedicated OSHC Coordinator who is passionate about making a positive impact!
About us:
We are a small service with a maximum of 20 children a session located on the beautiful natural grounds of Perth Waldorf School.
We cater to the learning, play and leisure of all children in our care. We take inspiration from the Steiner philosophy followed by our school; we believe in the importance of holistic education, play-based learning, creativity, imagination, and nature.

During term, we are open 7:00am - 9:00am and between 1:00pm - 6:00pm Monday to Friday. During vacation care we are open between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm. The Coordinator role will also have paid administrative hours each week. Enjoy having your nights, weekends and often the middle of your weekdays free in this role!
About the Role:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a small service for children aged 3.5 -12 years old, including compliance and administration.
- Lead a team of passionate Educators.
- Help to develop and facilitate a fun child-centred program full of arts and crafts, STEM activities, cooking, play and more! We especially love when our educators bring their own interests, strengths and cultures to our program.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and the school.
Who are we looking for?
- Someone with a passionate, warm and energetic nature and a genuine love for working with children!
- Qualification related to childcare: Cert IV or Diploma in Children’s Services (OSHC or ECEC), Cert IV or Diploma of Out of School Hours Care, Cert IV or Diploma in School Age Education and Care, Diploma or Degree in children’s Studies or Education, Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Cert III or IV in School Based Education Support, Cert IV in Education Support
- Or degree or Diploma in Recreation, Sport Science, Leisure Studies, Social and Behavioural Science, Nursing or Allied Health and extensive experience in childcare.
- Knowledge of EYLF, MTOP, NQS, and all legislative requirements
- Current and valid First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and Food Handling or willing to obtain.
- Familiarity with Steiner philosophy desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good administrative and organisational skills.
