The Opportunity
Our Federal Government client requires 2 Travel Officers at the APS5 level, with immediate start, on 6- and 9-month contracts. These roles are a great entry into Government Travel, particularly for past retail or corporate agents, that may be working in a current APS4-5 Finance, admin or similar role, but want back in to the excitement of booking travel! As these roles require immediate start, candidates require a minimum Baseline clearance.
The Travel Officer responsibilities will include:
- Book International and Domestic travel, inline with Departmental policies
- Provide high level advice from the Travel Policy and the Travel Regulation manual to travellers.
- Preparation of travel data for monthly reports and other ad hoc reports as requested.
- Develop and regularly review work instructions for travel processes and procedures.
- Actively review and update the travel intranet pages and prepare business bulletins to advise of any changes to the department.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Respond to travel queries via the shared inbox and helpdesk phone.
- Assist Team leader and Assistant director in the preparation of quarterly Briefs and Questions on Notice.
- Contribute to business planning and business improvements.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
- Assist the Concur and Credit Card Team with administrative tasks as required.
- General administration on internal and external systems such as Concur, CTM, TechOne and Travel Pack.
