Our wide range of shifts accommodates your schedule, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight stays, and weekends, with 24-hour shifts available as well. Our clients maintain a commitment to delivering flexible, high-quality services using a therapeutic care model in well-structured residential settings for children and young individuals.
Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 12 months of prior experience in an out-of-Home Care environment, involving direct care and support, as well as guidance and mentorship of young individuals. We seek individuals who are adaptable, dedicated, patient, and passionate, with a solid grasp of child and adolescent development, as well as an understanding of the challenges faced by youth in out-of-home environments and those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
About the role
Your role will involve delivering direct care, handling household tasks, administrative responsibilities, and nurturing healthy relationships with the young people under your care. Strong communication skills are vital as you will be responsible for effectively implementing case and care plan objectives, providing guidance, mentorship and direct assistance to young individuals while maintaining the highest safety standards.
We are looking for compassionate individuals with a strong client focus and diverse interests that can be leveraged to support and engage the young people in our care.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- A National Police Clearance obtained within the last 12 months
- A current First Aid certificate
- A full and valid driver's license with your own vehicle
- Australian work rights
- Current Manual Handling certification or a willingness to obtain it
- Current Medication Administration certification or a willingness to obtain it
- A Working with Children card
- Willingness to obtain a DCP 395 check
- NDIS Workers Screening
- Training in TCI, CPI, or PART would be highly desirable
