POSITION
Full time position is available for an Outdoor Adventure Guide in Cape Tribulation, QLD 4873.
SKILLS
The role requires you to hold a Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or a Certificate IV or at least three years of relevant employment experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Outdoor Adventure Guide, you will be responsible for leading guests on snorkeling tours to the Mackay Reef on the Great Barrier Reef. You will provide safe, engaging and informative tours and provide excellent customer service.
TASKS
- Snorkeling tour operation - customer introductions, briefings, look out, guiding and demonstrations.
- Ensure excellent and professional client service by being courteous, welcoming, and informative by answering customer questions and providing insightful tour information.
- Demonstrate and provide guidance for our guests to participate in snorkeling.
- Assist guests with fitting and using snorkeling equipment including masks, snorkels, fins and flotation devices.
- General maintenance of equipment.
- Be aware of, perform and adhere to the Workplace Health and Safety policies/procedures and in house policies/procedures as laid out in the SMS and operations manual to ensure the safety of crew and participants.
- Use strong and effective communication methods with management and other staff.
- Use underwater camera (Go Pro) and use of editing software (Lightroom).
- Carry out monthly drills with all crew.

- Ensure that all relevant industry legislation is adhered to including WHS policies and procedures, Council requirements and in-house policies and procedures.
- Safe operation of snorkelling tours.

SALARY
The salary offered will be $60,000 - $70,000 based on experience.
