Founded in 1847, St Peter’s College is an Anglican boarding and day school for boys committed to being an exceptional community of learning centred on truth, respect and service.
The School is located just two kilometres from the city centre on a single 80-acre campus. The magnificent grounds accommodate beautiful buildings, both historic and modern and the School’s educational facilities and sports fields are excellent. Our modern, purpose built Boarding House provides accommodation for 100 students from within Australia and overseas. Additionally the School has an Outdoor Education campus in Finniss, near Lake Alexandrina, about an hour’s drive from Adelaide.
Over 1550 students from diverse backgrounds and abilities are educated at the School from the Early Years to Year 12. About the position
Applications are open for Outdoor Education Facilitators for 2024. As an Outdoor Education Facilitator, you will work with students to ensure they are well prepared and appropriately supported whilst participating in their Outdoor Education experiences. The role is primarily field based with additional preparation, set-up and pack-up of activities. Opportunities for successful applicants will commence in February and culminate in the Year 10 Journey (21 Days) in June. Further opportunity is available for programs in Term 3 and 4, 2024.
Successful applicants will have
- A Willingness to support the School's values and Anglican ethos;
- Experience in working with young people;
- Expedition experience. (Working on extended expeditions is desirable, but not essential);
- The ability to facilitate in a remote area (in conjunction with a co-facilitator and program support);
- A Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and/or Wilderness First Aid Certificate.
