About us

The Outdoor Education Consultants have been delivering training for a number of years across all Australia including Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation, Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma in Outdoor Leadership.  We also partner with many businesses to deliver short courses designed for their needs. TOEC is increasing the number of courses which combine a variety of delivery methods to meet the growing need for more Outdoor Adventure Guides and Instructors across a variety of industries.

About the role

We are seeking passionate and suitable candidates to join our busy team to facilitate quality Outdoor Leadership Training Programs and Assessments all across Australia.  This is a great way to increase your income with other work by taking on a casual training role in the activities you are passionate about.

We welcome people that have worked as outdoor leaders with other organisations or schools, or have the relevant outdoor qualifications plus the latest TAE.  Opportunities to work weekdays and weekends are available. 

Requirements

Prior to employment you will need to provide;

  • Senior First Aid Certificate with a preference for Remote First Aid or Wilderness First Aid
  • Qualifications in Outdoor Leadership, specific outdoor skill sets you intend to train.
  • You must also have had previous experience in leading and training others

TAE40122 

  • Working with Children Clearance, South Australia (If applying from interstate, your states Working with Children Check)

Desirable Qualifications

The Outdoor Education Consultants are seeking to expand the delivery in a vast range of activity specialisations. Any or multiple of the below qualifications would be advantageous. We support staff to gain additional qualifications whist being employed. 

Outdoor Leadership: Cert 3/ Cert 4 / Diploma With any combinations or complete skill sets of the following activities:

  • Bushwalking - Easy Tracked to Extremely Difficult Tracked and Untracked Environments.
  • Canoeing / Kayaking -Flat Water / Moving / White Water /Enclosed /Sea
  • Rafting - Grade 3 /Grade 4 Rivers
  • Challenge Course: High / Low Elements 
  • Caving
  • Archery
  • Cycle touring – On Road / Off Road Easy – Intermediate
  • Canyoning – Easy / Intermediate /Advanced
  • Natural Surface Climbing and Abseiling Top Rope /Lead, Single pitch / Lead, Multi Pitch
  • Artificial Surface Climbing and abseiling
  • Sailing small boats
  • Snorkeling 
  • Surfing Beginner to intermediate
  • Stand Up Paddle boarding

All Australian National Training Package qualifications will be accepted. International qualifications will be considered.
