We are a Christian faith-based venue and events not-for-profit organisation that caters to the needs of schools, churches, youth groups, disability services and other community-based groups. We operate several tier-one venues across NSW that specialise in outdoor adventure activities. We are looking to appoint an experienced, proactive Outdoor Recreation Instructor.
Qualifications & experience
- The ideal candidate will most likely work in a similar role, preferably within a faith-based organisation. Alternatively, you may have a more general background in outdoor activity or group facilitation or other relevant experience that means you possess the skills and attributes to be successful in this role.
- Cert III/IV in Outdoor Education/Leadership or equivalent.
- A NSW Working with Children Check and willingness to complete Safe Ministry Training
- Ability to work under the CCC Camps “Statement of Faith”
- CPR /First Aid certificate / Bronze Medallion or ability to acquire such training with CCC Camps
- Experience facilitating groups
Tasks & responsibilities
- Run CCC Camps Adventure Activities
- Running activities on site with campers of all ages, with the most common guests being school aged children and youth.
- Help all guests reach goals by providing new challenges and supporting them to reach these goals.
- Set up and pack down of activities each day
- Complete CCC Camps Training
- Complete training in all CCC camps SOPs for a range of activities including roped, water, and challenge based activities.
- To be trained by CCC Camps Staff on procedures, risk management and activities.
- Build skills to be able to train casuals in the future.
- Clear, confident, and warm verbal communication with an approachable and welcoming personality
- Initiative and a motivated self-starter
- Ability to relate to school children of all ages and abilities
