We are a Christian faith-based venue and events not-for-profit organisation that caters to the needs of schools, churches, youth groups, disability services and other community-based groups.
We operate several tier-one venues across NSW that specialise in outdoor adventure activities. We are looking to appoint an experienced, proactive Outdoor Recreation Team Co-Ordinator.
Qualifications & experience
- The ideal candidate will most likely work in a similar role, preferably within a faith-based organisation. Alternatively, you may have a more general background in education or training in safety and complaint. Finally, you may have experience leading youth groups and feel you possess the skills and attributes to be successful in this role.
- Diploma in Outdoor Leadership or equivalent industry experience shown through references.
- Supervisory skills and safety-minded approach.
- CPR /First Aid certificate / Bronze Medallion
- A current NSW Working with Children Check and willingness to complete Safe Ministry Training
- Clear, confident, and warm verbal communication with an approachable and welcoming personality
- Full agreement with CCC Camp's core “Statement of Faith” per our constitution.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management:
Provide robust and inspirational leadership to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Effectively manage, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve individual and collective goals. - Outdoor Program Development:
Design, plan, and implement various Outdoor Recreational and adventure programs.
Ensure programs align with organisational goals and safety standards and provide enriching experiences for participants. - Safety and Risk Management:
Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all outdoor activities comply with industry standards and regulations—Liaise with external bodies on best practices and legislation changes/revisions.
Assess and manage risks associated with outdoor activities, taking proactive measures to ensure participant safety. - Equipment and Resource Management
Oversee the maintenance and inventory of outdoor equipment and resources, including regular equipment inspection.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to procure necessary equipment and ensure its proper functioning. - Participant Engagement and Customer Satisfaction:
Foster positive relationships with program participants, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Gather feedback and continuously improve programs based on participant experiences. - Training and Development:
Provide ongoing training to team members on outdoor skills, safety procedures, and customer service.
Identify and address skill gaps, fostering a culture of continuous learning. - Community Outreach:
Represent the organisation in the Outdoor Recreation community.
Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders to enhance program offerings. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Provide necessary reporting to the Board and work with Youth Camps Director(s) on successful camp operations.
