About the role
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated professional to manage the day-to-day running of our before and after school care service at Charles La Trobe College in Macleod West.
As the coordinator you will:
- Bring energy, enthusiasm and passion to our children
- Develop and facilitate a fun and engaging educational program
- Lead and supervise a small team of dedicated educators
- Maintain a safe, happy and nurturing care environment
- Foster positive relationships with children, families and the school
- Prepare and serve nutritious food and encourage healthy food options
- Maintain compliance records accurately and on a timely basis as required
About the service
Well-established and fully resourced catering for 20 children in after care and 10 children in before school care. Situated in the college's spacious multi-purpose hall with direct access to a large playground, the service provides for a pleasant and stimulating care environment.
About you
- You are passionate about working with primary school children aged 5-12 years
- You have excellent communication skills with ability to build meaningful and trusting relationships with children, families and the school
- You have completed or studying towards a diploma in Early Childhood Education, School Age Care, Allied Health, Social Work or ACECQA approved qualification
- You hold a Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- You have a valid First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma management (or willing to obtain)
You are available to work 7am
- 9am and 2:30pm
- 6pm [Monday
- Friday] and between 7am
- 6pm [Monday
- Friday] during school holidays
