We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across four sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee.ABOUT THE ROLEA very exciting opportunity has become available for a friendly, dynamic and enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant to join our Sub Acute Rehab Physiotherapy team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, East Melbourne Campus.St Vincent’s Private Hospital East Melbourne is proud to work with many of the best Orthopaedic surgeons in Australia and worldwide. You will work closely with all members of the Allied Health and Rehabilitation team. Regular supervision sessions will be scheduled to ensure the provision of best practice patient care and the achievement of maximal professional development. Days/hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7:30am-3:36pm. There will also be the opportunity to pick up extra weekend shifts from time to time.Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to);

• Primarily Sub acute Orthopaedic Rehabilitation caseload, but with 2 hours a day to see other mixed acute and rehabilitation caseload as service demand requires when on OT rotation.
• Assisting with patient treatment including exercise programs and activities of daily living training in liaison with Allied Health staff
• Ordering and maintenance of rehabilitation stock levels in liaison with the occupational and physiotherapists

The successful candidate will have;

• Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant
• Over 12 months experience desired but not essential
• Sound Computer literacy
• Good time management and prioritisation skills
