A service in East Bentleigh is looking for a passionate and dedicated Coordinator to provide engaging services for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position for 33 hours per week all year round guaranteed.
Hours are as follows: Monday - Friday, 7:00 - 9:00 AM (Rise then Shine Program) and 02:40 - 06:15 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus additional 5 admin hours.
In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $1000 commencement bonus at the end of first month plus another $1000 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
- Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
- Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
- Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration.

About the school
Based in East Bentleigh, this is a thriving service with a great relationship with the school. With 40 - 50 students in the afternoon, you would be embedded in a caring community. You would be joining a team of existing Educators, and responsible for maintaining and elevating the excellent quality of this service.
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
- Enjoy working with kids
- Caring and understanding of how to implement trauma-informed practices.
- Strong and clear communication
- Team player with a desire to become a service leader.
- Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children.
