Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator - Join the Team in Beenleigh
We're currently seeking a committed Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) educator to join our team at Honour Early Learning Beenleigh. Our center accommodates a total of 161 children, including 30 in before and after school care and an additional 45 during vacation care sessions. With meticulously designed indoor and outdoor spaces, our center offers a holistic learning environment tailored to meet the needs of all children.
About the Role
Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educators support the leadership team to implement a safe, engaging, and educational program for children on a daily basis, including:
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively supervise children in a variety of environments (indoor spaces, playgrounds, excursion sites) to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Deliver the Before school, After school, and Vacation Care programs under the supervision and direction of the OSHC Coordinator, Educational Leader, and responsible persons.
- Contribute to the process of critical reflection and shared service decision-making.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the service and facilities.
- Engage with children through play-based learning.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the service.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Provide children with an environment comprised of nurture, security, safety, and fun.
- Perform the duties reasonably required or directed by the Employer and/or OSHC Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator

Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, we are looking for individuals with:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an optimistic attitude.
- Completed or working towards an approved childcare-related Certificate III or 1 year qualification (or higher). (OSHC related sector preferred).
- Experience working with primary school-aged children (Age 4-12 years)
- Applicants must have or be eligible to obtain a blue card
- A working knowledge of the My Time Our Place Framework, National Quality Framework, and National Quality Standards.
- Safe Food Handling Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to positively, proactively, and regularly engage with staff, families and students
Work Hours
Applicants must be available to work flexible split shifts between Monday and Friday, spanning from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Additionally, a minimum availability of two afternoons per week is required. This schedule allows for versatility in accommodating the needs of both our team and the children in our care, ensuring that our programs run smoothly and effectively.
