Airport Retail Enterprises at the Brisbane Domestic & International Airports are currently on the lookout for talented sandwich production cooks or chefs to prepare sandwiches and food products for our busy operation. 35+ hours and overtime pay available for the right candidates.
Duties:
- Prepare sandwich and food products for 9+ venues located at Brisbane Airport working alongside our production team
- Measure and assemble ingredients as per recipe cards
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Production Manager on workflow improvements and wastage control
- Maintain accurate food inventories and par levels
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures as per food safety standards
- Rotate stock items and report wastage as per established procedures
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
What we're looking for:
- Previous sandwich production or deli experience preferred
- Food safety experience preferred
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks in a busy environment
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Applicants must have transport
- Penalty rates apply for shifts between 0200-0600
