Opportunity

Seeking a skilled Production Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team! As a pivotal member of our production kitchen brigade, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and high-quality production of food items. We're looking for someone with a passion for cooking and a keen eye for detail, capable of following recipes meticulously while also working in a team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent organisational skills, and have a knack for culinary excellence, we want to hear from you. 

Key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following areas:

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
• Cook food in accordance with the recipes and food safety standards
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

Successful candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and environment, coupled with the following skills and attributes:

• Minimum 6 month experience as a Cook of a similar size and quality venue
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, butchering etc.)
• Ability to work in a team and follow direction
• Familiarity with sanitation and safety regulations
