Salary - $88,173 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation
Your role
Corrective Services Industries is currently seeking 2 trade qualified Overseers to work in the Bakery unit at Long Bay Correctional Centre. The suitable candidates for these roles must have experience in the following trade Bakery or related trade.
What you’ll do
As the Overseer, you will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethics and integrity in line with CSI core values to train and supervise inmates as well as Quality control / inspection responsibilities to ensure compliance. You are also required to have sound computer knowledge, show strong resilience, and have robust time management skills.
What we’re looking for
As a standout candidate you will have:
- Proven trade experience
- Experience in process manufacturing
- Ability to diagnose and problem solve
- Be willing to work on early shifts and weekends.
- Ability to train, motivate and supervise inmates
- Willingness to work across varying trades and ability to multitask to achieve operational goals
- The successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional Practice
- Must be willing to undertake relevant training as required (paid by CSI)
Essential Requirements
- Minimum current Certificate III or greater in Bakery or other related trades.
- Experience in manufacturing wide range of baking products will be highly regarded
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
- General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications
