Frenchies Bakery & Patisserie, born out of our love for lockdown treats served at our sister venue Frenchies Bistro & Brewery, is dedicated to bringing a chic French-style café experience to Sydneysiders. We specialize in creating sweet and savory products for any and every occasion, using only the highest quality ingredients and spotlighting fresh, local produce. Our team of French-trained pastry chefs showcases traditional baking techniques while ensuring our products resonate with Aussies, Rosebery locals, and the wider community.
Responsibilities:
As a Pastry Cook at Frenchies Bakery & Patisserie, you will be responsible for creating a variety of bakery items, including celebration cakes and seasonal delights. You will ensure that every product meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Additionally, you will work with our team to develop new recipes and innovate our menu offerings while maintaining the traditional techniques that define our brand.
Tasks:
  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
  • Develop new recipes and seasonal items, ensuring they align with our French-inspired spirit.
  • Kneading, shaping, and baking delectable french pastries while also perfecting pastry fillings and adding the finishing touches with glazes and decorations.
  • Contributing to the daily operations of the bakery kitchen, including  inventory and ordering supplies and quality checks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Requirements:
  • Proven 2 years experience as a Pastry Cook, preferably with French baking techniques.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications - - Apprenticeship compulsory
  • Strong creative skills and attention to detail in pastry design and decoration.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Passion for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Work visa can be provided for this role

  • Expected salary: $71,000 per year
