Play To Live Occupational Therapy is a community-based paediatric service located in Melbourne's Western Suburbs, predominately servicing suburbs within the Wyndham area. We are excited to announce that we are expanding the team, with new Occupational Therapist positions available. We welcome All Experience Levels, including new graduates.
About The Role:
You will support children aged 0-12 to achieve their goals through community-based therapy. Play To Live Occupational Therapy predominately works with NDIS, Medicare, and privately paying clients. You will have a varied caseload, including Autistic and ADHD'er clients, and clients with other developmental differences or genetic differences.
You will work closely with families, kindergartens, schools, and other allied health professionals as you provide services within the child's natural environment. You have the opportunity to have autonomy over scheduling, or receive support if this is a preference.

The applicant will be:
- Meeting with parents or caregivers to conduct initial consultations.
- Liaising with parents or caregivers to establish client centered and strengths-based goals.
- Creating therapy plans to support children to achieve their goals.
- Collaborating with other professionals including allied health, GP's, and teachers
- Providing therapy support within the child's natural environment including home, school, kinder, and/or childcare.
- Learning to conduct standardised Occupational Therapy and developmental assessments.
- Writing progress reports, including NDIS reviews.
About You
As our newest Occupational Therapist, you will have a passion for paediatrics and a caring and empathetic approach to your work. You will have, or have the ability to acquire:
- A love for working with children
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- AHPRA registration
- Adequate written and verbal communication skills or the ability to request for accommodations in order to complete the role
- Australian drivers license and fully insured car
- Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- NDIS workers screening Clearance
- Professional Indemnity and malpractice insurance
Desired background/experience but not required:
- NDIS knowledge and experience
- Paediatric placement or experience
- Understanding of neurodiversity affirming practice
- Understanding of Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, and Down Syndrome
- Understanding of sensory processing
