The Role:
Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to a paediatric population.
Engage in clinic, home and telehealth based sessions
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
Role Key areas will include:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional development to identify areas of need.
- Develop individualised NDIS therapy plans and goals in consultation with clients and their families.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve children's functional abilities and independence in daily activities.
- Collaborate with other allied health professionals, educators, and support workers to ensure coordinated care and achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
- Deliver services in compliance with NDIS standards, funding requirements, and professional ethics.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports in accordance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Previous experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays, preferably in a community or NDIS setting.
- Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Understanding of the NDIS framework and familiarity with relevant policies and procedures.
