Little by Little Therapy is a growing company, seeking part-time or full-time Paediatric Occupational Therapists who are looking to evolve and thrive within our team. We are a mobile therapy business offering services to clients within their home, childcare or school. Location: Inner Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and developing individualised therapy plans.
- Providing evidence-based interventions to support motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and overall functional independence.
- Collaborating closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and client-centred are.
- Advocating for the needs of children and promoting inclusion in all aspects of life.
- Incorporating neuro-affirming practices into therapy sessions to celebrate and support the strengths and abilities of neurodivergent children.
- Assessment and report writing, including handwriting assessments, functional assessments and sensory processing.
- Writing NDIS progress reports to document outcomes and inform future NDIS goals and funding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience working with the paediatric population preferred but not required – graduates welcome to apply.

Our new team members must have:

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
You will develop:
- Experience working in Paediatric Occupational therapy settings, demonstrating a practical understanding of working with children in their natural environment.
- Familiarity with and commitment to neuro-affirming practice, recognising and celebrating the unique strengths and abilities of individuals.
- Understanding of conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), enabling tailored and effective therapeutic interventions.
- Proficiency in understanding sensory processing, allowing for development and implementation of sensory interventions to support participation and engagement in daily activities.
