About the Role

Talk Plus Allied Health Centre is a great place for you to establish and grow a rewarding career.   We provide speech pathology, occupational therapy, early childhood teacher and therapy assistant services for children and teens at the Sunshine Coast.  Our services are mainly centre-based, with options for school-based services and telehealth.

We have a speech pathology position available, as we have strong demand for our services.  

We are seeking either a new graduate or an experienced Speech Pathologist who is passionate about working with children and families.  Full-time and part-time positions are available, with flexible working arrangements.

Our Clients 

At Talk Plus, you can gain experience working in a range of areas, while also further developing your special interest areas. 

Our main client group :

• Children from 2 years to 16 years, with most of clients aged 3 to 12 years.
• We see a range of clients, some for a short burst of therapy and others with longer term needs.  
• We enjoy working with many children who have autism, ADHD/ADD, DCD
• Typical areas we support include: speech production, oral language, social communication, literacy/written language and fluency difficulties, self-care, school performance areas, fine and gross motor and emotional regulation

• Clinical supervision weekly or fortnightly (depending on experience) with a senior Speech Pathologist with 25 years paediatric experience 
• Peer support and supervision, both in a monthly meeting as a team and informally with team members during the week 
• Mastery partners, where we invite external experts to lead specific professional development to provide therapists with a wide range of knowledge

About Us

Talk Plus Allied Health Centre is a respected private practice with a strong reputation for high quality and evidence-based care.  We have provided private speech pathology services at the Sunshine Coast for over 20 years, formally as Speech Pathology for Children and re-branded to Talk Plus with the additional allied health services.  

 We have well established relationships with many schools, kindergartens and early learning centres at the Sunshine Coast. 

What You Need 

We are looking for awesome!  We are looking for individuals with a focus on providing high-quality, family focused services who show kindness, warmth and fun.

• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
• Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (or eligibility for membership) 
• Current Working with Children's check (WWCC)/ Blue Card (or eligibility to apply)
• A current driver's licence and use of own vehicle
• Commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice
• Evidence of ability to work in a team and build and maintain co-operative professional and therapeutic relationships
• Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience
