Our client, a provider of specialised Painting, Remedial and Abseiling services, is looking for a qualified and experienced painter to assist with operations.They will be responsible for mixing, matching, and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touch-ups and coordinating painting indoor and outdoor projects.Requirements:
- Australian citizens and permanent residents encouraged to apply;
- A minimum AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) or higher qualifications (three years of experience may substitute for formal qualifications);
- Familiarity with all relevant health and safety regulations;
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities;
- Keen attention to detail;
- Effective communication skills;
- Adequate physical strength and balance;
- Demonstrated teamwork abilities and a positive attitude; and
- Ability to work productively both independently and under supervision.
- Inspect surfaces to determine the type and extent of required work;
- Prepare the site by erecting scaffolding, protecting fixtures, etc;
- Ready walls and surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and removing old paint;
- Apply paint to surfaces while safeguarding surrounding areas;
- Evaluate paint colours, blend pigments using various techniques and tools;
- Strip old paint using various methods to ready surfaces;
- Utilize a variety of tools and brushes to apply paint with precision;
- Assist team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule and as per requirements;
- Engage in both residential and commercial projects; and
- Adhere to industry safety and environmental protocols and guidelines.
