We are looking for a Panel Beater and Vehicle Spray Painter to join a professional locally owned family company. Our ideal applicant will have a strong work ethic with a high attention to detail. Panel Beater
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience with chassis straightening equipment (Car-O-Liner) preferred
- Remove panels, bumper bars, bull bars, seats etc. for repairand painting
- Reassemble vehicle for detailing and quality inspection prior to collection by customer
- Proven ability to work to high standards with a professional work ethic
- Use initiative and follow instructions with a sound attention to detail
- Committed to working within a team environment
38 Hour week – Wage negotiable depending on experience – IMMEDIATE START
Salary: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
Vehicle Spray Painter
Duties and responsibilities:
- Trade skills ticket in vehicle body and automotive spray-painting
- Knowledge of motor vehicle components – spray-painting metals, plastics and fibre glass
- Knowledge of motor vehicle colours and compounds used
- Knowledge of factory specifications with regard to colour matching including the use of computerised colour matching equipment.
- Ability to use equipment in the paint division – spray guns, sanders etc and understanding the importance of a tidy work area and equipment in regard to Workplace Health andSafety.
- Ability to understand and follow Job Cards and instructions.
- Ability to understand and follow internal computerised planning system for job management
- Competently and confidently complete spray-painting repairs and ensure the vehicle is returned to its original standard including colour match, quality of painting, and tidiness of refinishing, cleanliness of interiors/exteriors
- Efficiently carry out repairs in line with scheduling with the panel beating division, and detailing and liaise with administration staff in an endeavour to ensure all relevant job information is provided to complete the necessary repairs within the designated time allocation.
- Work in a team environment with all staff in all areas including the panel and administrative divisions of the business and management in an endeavour to solving problems that may arise within in a particular job and in the workplace in general.
- Be able to use own initiatives and skills of the trade to confidently and competently work on any motor vehicle without the assistance (within reason) of any other staff member and/or management staff or supervisors.
