Paper Machine Operators

• About the Role

  Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual for an immediate start Paper Machine Operators.
  These are casual position with a view to a permanent role for the right person. The successful applicant will join an established team and will have the opportunity to work within a supportive environment.

  KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  Quality
   

• Report and record any nonconforming product.
• Ensure compliance with VPP Quality Assurance Systems and Procedures

Safety and Environmental 

• Adhere to all safe working and environmental procedures in accordance with instructions.
• Take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety and the environment through participation in formal and informal discussions, workplace visits and hazard inspections, etc.
• Participate where required in the resolution of safety or environmental issues.
• Participate in the Health, Safety and Environment Committee where required.
• Initiate actions to improve health and safety

MANDATORY CRITERIA

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and troubleshoot plant operations
• Ability to work with computerised control systems
• Ability to work as part of a team

• Paper making qualifications
• Forklift licence
• Elevated Work Platform licence
• Dogging & Rigging licence
• Experience with operation of fixed cranes / gantry's
• Recognised industrial qualification
• Significant industrial experience in a pulp and paper mill

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS A MEDICAL, POLICE CHECK AND A DRUG AND ALCOHOL TEST FOR THESE POSITIONS.
