- About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual for an immediate start Paper Machine Operators.
These are casual position with a view to a permanent role for the right person. The successful applicant will join an established team and will have the opportunity to work within a supportive environment.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality
- Report and record any nonconforming product.
- Ensure compliance with VPP Quality Assurance Systems and Procedures
Safety and Environmental
- Adhere to all safe working and environmental procedures in accordance with instructions.
- Take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions.
- Demonstrate commitment to health, safety and the environment through participation in formal and informal discussions, workplace visits and hazard inspections, etc.
- Participate where required in the resolution of safety or environmental issues.
- Participate in the Health, Safety and Environment Committee where required.
- Initiate actions to improve health and safety
MANDATORY CRITERIA
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and troubleshoot plant operations
- Ability to work with computerised control systems
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Paper making qualifications
- Forklift licence
- Elevated Work Platform licence
- Dogging & Rigging licence
- Experience with operation of fixed cranes / gantry's
- Recognised industrial qualification
- Significant industrial experience in a pulp and paper mill
