Your new company
The division manages the state’s planning, building and heritage systems, including developing long-term, integrated land-use strategies and policies, administering statutory planning responsibilities and facilitating urban development.
Your new role
Reporting to the manager, you’ll:
Provide administrative and project management assistance to deliver the Minister’s planning responsibilities in relation to planning permit applications, planning scheme amendments, priority government projects and other requirements of planning legislation and instruments
Assist in the preparation of quality written material such as reports and correspondence within required timeframes
Maintain system databases and processes for planning scheme authorisations and amendments, and planning permit applications, and review and recommend improvements to business procedures
What you'll need to succeed
As well as qualifications in land use planning, Engineering or another relevant field, you’ll have:
Experience in an administration, project management or para-planning role is preferred
Experience working in government and in electronic file management would be an advantage
Working knowledge of the Victorian planning system is preferred
