Our Class Actions practice area is the largest in Australia and we are leaders in the field. That makes us proud. We have recovered more than $3 billion for groups, individuals, shareholders and businesses that have suffered loss due to illegal behaviour by large corporations. That gives us purpose.
An opportunity has arisen for a Full-time Paralegal to join our Melbourne Class Actions team on a 6-month fixed term contract.
Join Australia’s leading class action litigation practice and contribute to a number of high profile and impactful matters. Working with a skilled team you will have access to resources and knowledge to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake legal research;
- Complete discovery tasks;
- Assist in managing communications with clients;
- Draft correspondence and prepare court documents;
- Prepare briefs for counsel;
- Assist lawyers with the conduct of cases.
The experience we are looking for
Your self-motivation and solutions focus combined with your ability to work collaboratively towards achieving team goals will ensure your success in this role.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining quality outcomes;
- Fine-tuned research skills, with a solutions focused and resourceful approach;
- Strong document management skills with a keen eye for detail;
- Experience in a similar position or education in Finance or Commerce will be highly regarded.
