Paramedic/Ert Advisor

Chinova Resources is a private Australian resources company owned by the Shanxi Donghui Group of Companies, with principal activities focussed in North?West Queensland. The company has existing processing operations at Osborne and an open pit mining operation at Starra, south of Cloncurry. Ore is hauled by road train from Starra on a newly constructed and sealed 50km road to the Osborne processing facility. In addition to the current mining operations, Chinova has several development projects that are being advanced to a decision to mine, and extensive exploration activities on a large and prospective tenement holding.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Paramedic/ERT Advisor, specializing in ERT Training to join our HST team at our Osborne operations, sharing Chinova values, and our commitment to safety and the environment.

Reporting to the Superintendent Health, Safety & Training, you will provide emergency and non-emergency assistance and medical care across multiple sites on the Chinova tenements. You will be a part of the site emergency response team providing first response to all incidents and supporting the HST activities and training.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operating and maintaining the medical facilities and assets onsite to ensure a timely, coordinated, and professional response
• Providing relevant medical training and coaching to members of ERT in line with Cert III Mines Rescue Certifications
• Facilitate occupational health and medical programs including health promotion and education targeted at dust monitoring
• Providing support to the HST team to include incident investigation
• Undertake safety performance analysis,reporting preparation and delivery of safety communications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• AHPRA registration as a Paramedic with no restrictions
• Minimum qualification Diploma of Paramedicine
• Cert IV in Training & Assessment updated version 40116 qualified
• Cert III Mines Rescue qualified
• Be proficient in the delivery of RII competencies relating to Mines Rescue Cert III
• Experience working and alignment of Register Training Organisations (RTO)
• Experience in the provision of rural and/or remote medical services.
• Demonstrated experience in first responder or emergency medical care.
• Drug and alcohol testing qualification
• Current open manual drivers’ licence Current National Police Clearance

Experience with INX modules (InControl, Site Pass, InTuition), RTW Coordinator Certificate, , 4WD training, ICAM investigations would be advantageous.
