Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the company’s HSE Systems, ensuring compliance on our various construction projects. The position will be based in Chinchilla on a Monday - Friday roster. However, the successful candidate should be willing to travel when required for our various construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively driving the implementation and continual improvement of our health, safety environment
- Conduct site audits for safety, quality, and environmental requirements
- Prepare reports, record data, and collect evidence of the site’s compliance
- Assisting with education and training of WDC staff in the areas of safety, environmental and quality systems.
- Influence a pro-active culture across the organisation that promotes both individual and team commitment to safe work practices
- Supporting accident investigations and monitor completion of corrective and preventive action plans
- Involvement in project start-ups to ensure company values are aligned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HSE Advisor in the civil construction industry in a site-based environment
- Certificate IV or Diploma in HSE is preferred, but not mandatory
- Have the ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.
- A hands-on approach, along with a strong commitment to continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid Driver's License
