Paraplanner/Adviser Assistant Role
We are seeking an experienced well rounded professional to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to join our growing business, where you will work directly with our experienced team of Wealth Advisers. Whilst paraplanning skills are an essential requirement, this role is a unique role encompassing close involvement with Advisers in every aspect of managing client outcomes and relationships. We are looking for that special person to join us and contribute both professionally and personally to our team environment and utilise their skills beyond just the paraplanning remit to develop, evolve and manage financial strategies that make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

In response to continuing growth, we are looking for an experienced Paraplanner/Adviser Assistant to join our team and play a pivotal role in providing exemplary service and advice to a growing number of valued and long term clients.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for assisting advisers by working closely with advisers on client strategies, preparing accurate, strategic and compliant financial Statement of Advice and Records of Advice and general support in delivering client outcomes and helping to solve client complexities.
The role is varied and forms a key part in retaining and enhancing the ongoing relationship with our clients.

Key responsibilities
Understand client strategies and assist Advisers in managing the change that occurs in client’s lives throughout their journey.
- Construct and review comprehensive Statements of Advice (SoA's), Records of Advice (RoA's) and compliance documentation for Senior Financial Advisers.
- Review and prepare relevant Financial Modelling for client situations (Xplan, Xtools).
- Undertake relevant research including the use of Wealthsolver software for comparisons and model portfolios and Risk Researcher for insurance analysis and solutions
- Assist in the preparation of Review Meetings and oversee Annual Service Agreements.
- Ensuring compliance and all legislative requirements are met and maintaining up to date knowledge in line with business and industry guidelines
- Assist in improving and delivering all client services offered.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence in service and advice to our clients.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong interest and commitment to a career in Financial Services along with highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with Advisers and Clients. You will also have:
Educational and Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years paraplanning experience preparing complex, multi entity, strategic SOA’s, ROA’s and reviews.
- Thorough understanding of the Financial Advice industry
- Tertiary qualification and minimum RG146 accreditation in all financial planning related specialisations
- Technologically minded, ability to utilise a range of software and agile enough to adapt quickly to newly introduced technology solutions
- Thorough knowledge of Xplan financial planning software and XTools+
- Ability to conduct research and be able to prepare long term modelling projections
- Ability to work at a highly strategic level in the areas of Superannuation, SMSF’s, Trusts, Family Trusts, Retirement planning and Wealth Creation
- Sound understanding of compliance frameworks within the advice industry

The successful candidate must be available to work in our St Leonards office during business hours which includes Monday to Friday, between 9.00am and 5:00pm however you will have the opportunity to build flexibility into your working week.
