An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Parent Infant Mental Health Clinician - Psychiatric Nurse to join our Parent Infant Mental Health Initiative in a Permanent Part Time 16 hours per week role.

The PIMHI function is primarily community based with the aim of providing specialist advice to area mental health services, promoting family orientated practice and treatment and assisting with the development of linkages between specialist mental health and parenting and early childhood services.

Essential for performance within the role:

• Demonstrated knowledge of recovery and collaborative clinical practice
• Demonstrated skill, experience, and competence in the provision of structured evidence based therapeutic interventions in individual and group settings
• Demonstrated skill, experience, and competence in working as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team
• Demonstrated skill, experience, and competence in promoting a standard of excellence in clinical practice
• Displays a clear understanding of the principle of recovery orientated practice and its implementation within a clinical setting
• Experience with or understanding of attachment theory
• Demonstrated clinical experience with partner’s / couple’s work
• A clinical experience in parent infant therapy or/and infant or attachment assessments
• Effectively contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a therapeutic milieu
• A positive approach to ongoing self-education and skill development
• Demonstrated competence in initiating and contributing to quality improvement, evaluation and research activities
• A flexible, innovative team-oriented approach to service delivery
• A positive approach to change and diversity
• A sound understanding of information technology including clinical systems, applications relevant to the clinical role
