Apprenticeship Careers Australia are looking for a great candidate that is eager to embark on their career journey with a great local business in the Highlands and start an apprenticeship in Parks and Gardens.
During the apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from qualified tradespeople and study whilst working toward a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.
We are looking for a candidate that is lives a fit and healthy life style, is hard-working, willing to get their hands dirty and work independently as well as within a team environment.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
Mowing: Operate and maintain various types of lawn mowers to ensure the pristine appearance of lawns and green spaces.
Gardening: Participate in planting, weeding, and cultivating various plants to enhance the overall aesthetics of outdoor areas.
Pruning, Hedging, and Trimming: Shape and maintain trees, hedges, and shrubs to create visually appealing gardens and parks.
Edging: Define and enhance the edges of lawns and garden beds for a polished and professional look.
Digging: Excavate and prepare areas for landscaping projects, ensuring a solid foundation for the transformation of outdoor spaces.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep outdoor spaces pristine and welcoming by undertaking regular cleaning tasks, ensuring the longevity and aesthetic appeal of the garden areas.
Equipment Operation: Gain proficiency in handling, using maintaining tools and machinery, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.

APPRENTICESHIP INFORMATIONDuring the duration of the apprenticeship (48-month) you will be working full-time (38 hours per week), Monday to Friday learning all the skills of the trade within the working environment.
You and will attend TAFE one day per week for three years, where you will learn theory and practical areas within the trade to gain a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.
