Job DescriptionThe City of Albany’s Developed Reserves Team is looking for qualified and passionate individuals for multiple Parks Maintenance Worker positions, The role is available from level 4 to 6 dependent on you experience and qualifications
As part of this role, you will work a Monday to Friday rostered 9 day fortnight, reporting to the Leading Hand, this position will see you responsible for the maintenance of parks around Albany including but not limited to:
- Mowing
- Street tree pruning and maintenance.
- Reticulation
- Gardens
- Operating and basic maintenance of plant and equipment; tractors, mowers, whipper-snippers and brushcutters;
- Undertaking manual tasks; and
- Working in a team environment
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, basic first aid, and the ability to undertake physically demanding work are essential for this role. Completion of a Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent is required to be considered for levels 4, 5 and 6.
Additional tickets such as elevated work platform, Chemical handling, HR licence and traffic management as well as experience in plant operation is highly desirable.
