We are seeking a management accountant to work in a busy group back office 25 hours per week, providing support to various accommodation businesses across the Eastern States. The role reports to the Group CFO and Directors and will require accounting and related admin support. Flexible part-time hours will be offered to the right candidate (i.e. 25 hours per week spread over 3 to 5 days).
You will expected to work both onsite in the Brisbane office and remotely as required.
The Role
Open to experienced accountants and senior bookkeepers who are able to work independently (onsite and remotely as required), and in conjunction with other team members.
General role duties will include but are not limited to:
• Accounting & bookkeeping and related admin duties
• Working with the internal bookkeeper to ensure accurate data entry and reconciliations
• Preparation and processing of payroll in MYOB
• Processing weekly bank payments
• Preparation of month end management accounts, reports & journals
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Competency with BAS and PAYG preparation & ATO lodgment
• Proficient in document and data management and other administrative tasks (including Cloud based storage e.g. Dropbox)
About You
• You will have excellent communication skills, a broad knowledge of financial procedures but still progressing your skills and eager to learn and develop them.
• You are keen to suggest and implement new processes.
• You will have experience working with multiple entities with intergroup transactions.
• Part-time or school hours working hours will also be considered.
To be successful in this role you must have:
• 10+ years Accounting experience
• Experience working in a Chartered Accounting or CPA would be highly regarded
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite in particular Excel
• Proficient using MYOB
• Previous experience with accommodation accounting systems (not essential)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written requiring keyboard proficiency, typing and data entry
• Ability to work without supervision
• Excellent attention to detail
