As a Buying Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our buying team in sourcing, selecting, and purchasing merchandise for our stores. Your responsibilities will include:
Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
Data Analysis: Analyse sales and inventory data to make informed decisions on product selection and quantities.
Assist in Merchandise Planning: Collaborate with the buying team to plan assortments and optimize inventory levels.
About you:
- Previous experience in retail, buying, or merchandising is a plus.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
