About the Role
Part-time cleaner position at a small, local primary school in the Borough of Queenscliffe. Hours of work are Monday to Friday (before school 5-7:30am or after school 4-6:30pm) for 2 to 2.5 hours.
Experience as a cleaner is preferred, but not essential.
Essential Skills & Duties
- Perform regular cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming and mopping floors.
- Clean and sanitise toilet facilities, ensuring they are well stocked with necessary supplies.
- Clean windows and glass surfaces to maintain a clear and streak-free appearance.
- Clean and sanitise kitchen area and offices including benchtops, sinks and appliances.
- Empty and clean waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
- Monitor and request cleaning supplies as needed.
- Responding to spills, accidents or other cleaning emergencies whilst on duty.
- Follow health and safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a clean and inviting workspace.

Requirements
- Current valid Driver’s Licence to travel to and from school
- Current Working with Children Check
