Due to the growth of our practice, we are now requiring an experienced Part TimeDental Receptionist/Dental Assistant

Your New Role
Your pay will be dependent on your previous work history, skills and knowledge.
Your duties and responsibilities will be the following:-
- Be an ambassador of our practice’s core values, mission and vision
- Provide an outstanding level of professionalism and customer service on the telephone and in meeting and greeting patients, at all times providing a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule and effective management of patient appointments (new, cancellations, recalls) using our Dental 4 Windows software
- Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence (written and electronic). Follow up, file and escalate, as required
- Process payments (fees, HICAPS, AfterPay, ZipPay, patient financial arrangements)
- Ensure daily finances are processed accurately and reconciled at the close of business
- Accurately record and file patient records into Dental 4 Windows
- Provide office administration assistance as required and delegated by the Practice Manager
- Assist Dentists in clinical treatment
- Perform clinical tasks to a high standard including chairside assisting, x-rays, scan and photos, sterilisation, instrument tracking, stock management and note taking
- Anticipate the needs of the dentist and understand what would be required when
- Ensure the surgery is ready for each day’s appointments, including that treatment rooms are adequately stocked and clean
- Ensure all the laboratory work is available for the patient’s appointment and following up with the laboratory, if laboratory work is outstanding
- Communicate with front reception staff to ensure daily efficiency of clinical appointments
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols
- Complete instrument sterilisation, including hand pieces
- Work closely with all team members to ensure the best possible experience for patients and dental practitioners Days and hours will be discussed at the interview

- Previous work experience as a Dental Assistant and Dental Receptionist in a dental environment

- You enjoy working in a team environment where everyone appreciates and respects each other and is happy to help one another to achieve the mutual goal of the practice
- Able to work well independently, however you are also aware that you are part of a team
- Able to interact with people of all ages, background and personalities
